Laussel is the Goddess of the thirteen moons. She is known as the French Venus figurine as her carving was found in a cave in France and is from the Upper Paleolithic time. She holds a horn in one hand that has 13 notches, representing the 13 moons of the menstrual cycle and her other hand is on her belly, holding and connecting to her womb. This carving use to be tinted with red ochre and so she is known as a Goddess of fertility and creativity.
A Mother and Moon Goddess, Laussel is a creatrix and nurturer. Helping you through life if you should wish to call on her. She will help connect you to your womb of creation, to your divine feminine, where life is born. Whether you wish to have children or just wish to create other things in your life, this is where it all starts. As a mother she will nurture you and guide you on your path to where you wish to go. Comfort you in your times of need and celebrate in your times of joy. Laussel will show you the way.

Meditation to connect with Laussel
Laying or sitting down, take three deep breaths, relaxing your whole body. Put your hand over your womb area/between the base and sacral chakras and hold your intention in connecting to Laussel. You could say this in your head three times, ‘My intention is to connect with Laussel.’
Sit and feel the energy in this area. Imagine a light there and as you breathe out, see it expanding, growing bigger and bigger until it covers you entirely. Sit in this energy for a while. This is your creative energy. This is where your ideas start and can come to life. What does this energy feel like?
After some time, ask Laussel to come to you. Wait to see if she comes or answers your call. Then ask her questions and have your conversation. If she doesn’t come, then just try another time. Sitting in the energy is enough for now.
When you are done, take three deep breaths and come back to the room.
Write down your experience. What did the energy feel like? Did Laussel come to you and what was she like? Did she answer your questions? Did you feel the urge to create or did any ideas come forth for new projects etc?
How to connect with Laussel
Here are a few ways you can connect with the Goddess Laussel.
Meditation
Using meditation to connect can be very powerful. You can use the meditation above or find one you are drawn to. You can even just simply sit, close your eyes and relax. Breathing in and out a couple of times and when you are ready, ask Laussel to be with you. See what happens and if you can sense anything. Practice this and you will start to connect.
Create an Altar
Dedicate a space to her. It can be big or small with some simple items or as elaborate as you wish. Visit daily to connect.
Connect with your Womb Space
The meditation above connects you with your womb space and your creative energy. But you can also connect to your womb space and start to get to know her.
Sit, close your eyes and place a hand or both on your womb space. Breathe deeply and focus on this area. Connect to this space. How does it feel? Speak to her. Ask her how she is? What does she need? After your conversation, thank her for being there. Write down your experience and try to practice this often. Try different times of the month and see the differences there may be. The more you do this, the more you will become connected to your womb and cycle and get to know yourself as well.
Connect to the Moon
As a Goddess of the 13 Moons, it only seems logical to connect with the Moon. Stand or sit outside at night facing the moon. Feel her beaming down on your face. Feel her energy wash over you and cleanse you. Ask Laussel for a message or simply just thank her for being here. Try doing this at different times of the month as well, to get to know the different phases.
How Laussel will help you
Laussel is ancient. She has been here from the beginning of time, she is the divine feminine. Helping you to connect to your menstrual cycle, she will help you to listen to your body more and what your womb is trying to tell you. Teaching you to show yourself love and self care. To help you open up to your creativity and let the flow of life pass through you and help you create your own life and happiness. She will help you to see yourself in a more caring way and know that you are beautiful just the way you are.
