Fortuna is a Roman Goddess and is the Goddess of abundance, fertility, fortune and prosperity. She is also a Goddess of telling the future and of destiny. She is known to the Greeks as Tyche the Goddess of fortune, chance and fate and eventually became known as Lady Luck.
Fortuna is normally seen with a cornucopia or horn of plenty, representing abundance and bountiful harvest. Sometimes she may have a ships rudder in her hand to show her control of destiny. She is also depicted standing on a ball to show how easily fortune can change and presides over the wheel of fortune. Some say she has wings and some say she gave up her wings when she reached Rome as this was her true home.
Fortuna will help you with your destiny, any questions about your future and help you with your dreams. Ask her how to achieve your dreams, how to meet your destiny and if you worry about your future ask her to help you with this.
She is loving and strong and she will steer you in the right direction with the truth and guidance she gives. She teaches us to look within and to know that when we work on ourselves, our inner shadows and negativity to raise our vibration then we can have it all. What we feel, what we think, we attract to us. She will help you to raise your vibration to help you attract the abundance that is there waiting for you. Fortuna will also teach us gratitude, for when we are grateful we also raise our vibration, helping us to be happy and whole.

Meditation to connect with Fortuna
Go to a place you wont be disturbed. Light some incense, maybe a candle and close your eyes. Take three deep breaths and relax. Hold your intention in connecting to Fortuna. You could say this in your head three times, ‘My intention is to connect with Fortuna.’
Imagine you are in a forest and in front of you is a big Oak tree. There is a door in the Oak tree and you can see golden light shining through the gaps around the door. It looks very inviting. You go towards it and open the door. There is bright light and you can not see what is there but you step through the door.
You have entered a place where time and space have stood still. It is dark with stars all around and swirling light surrounds you. It is beautiful and you really feel at peace here. Suddenly you hear a voice say ‘I am Fortuna. You wished to connect with me and here I am.’ A beautiful lady then appears before you. You say ‘Hello, yes I wished to connect with you, thank you.’ She says ‘I am the Goddess of abundance and destiny. I will help you achieve your dreams, to look within and to show you your destiny. What do you wish to know?’ You then ask her your questions and have a conversation with her.
Once you have finished talking to her, she hands you a gift and says ‘I am always here for you. Just go within and connect to me. Remember who you are and that you can have it all if you choose to.’ She then disappears. You thank her out loud, knowing that you received a great gift today.
When you are ready, take three deep breaths and come back to the room.

How to connect with Fortuna
Here are a few ways you can connect with the Goddess Fortuna.
Meditation
Use the meditation above to help you connect with Fortuna or simply sit, close your eyes, taking three deep breaths to relax. Set your intention to meet with her and let her come to you. Do you notice any changes in energy or see any images? Sit with it for a while and see what happens. The more you practice the better you will get and be able to connect.
Dedicated Space
Find somewhere you can dedicate some space to her. This could be a box, a shelf or a table. Anywhere you can come and sit to connect with her daily. Decorate it with things you associate with Fortuna and sit in this space connecting.
Gratitude
Write down or think of the things you are thankful for today. Focusing on the good things in our lives helps us to find the joy in our lives as well as raises our vibration. This in turn helps us to be happy and whole and to create the future we want.
Offering
Give an offering to the Goddess Fortuna, with your thanks for her being in your life.

Fortuna will help you with your destiny and your desires as well as help you with manifestation. She will help you to raise your vibration, be grateful and in turn attract abundance into your life. Call on her when you wish to manifest something. When you wish to know your destiny and how to achieve it. Call on her to help you lift your vibration, to help you look within and clear your energy, helping you to be more happy and abundant.
