There are times on every spiritual path when we feel disconnected. I know because I have been there many times, sometimes for long periods.
Life gets busy. I get wrapped up in the material world, focusing on work, family responsibilities, endless to-do lists, and often spending too much time on screens. Before I know it, my spiritual practices have slipped away and I am no longer making time for them.
I tell myself I’ll start again next week. Then next week comes and goes, and I still haven’t made the time. Before long, I find myself feeling lost, insecure, and disconnected from myself and the divine.
If this sounds familiar, know that you are not alone.
Many people experience periods of spiritual disconnection. It does not mean you have failed, lost your connection, or done something wrong. Often, it is simply a sign that life has pulled our attention outward for a while and that our soul is calling us to return inward once more.
The good news is that the Goddess is always present. Our connection may feel distant, but it is never truly lost. Like the changing seasons, our spiritual lives move through cycles, and there is always an opportunity to reconnect.

Why We Feel Spiritually Disconnected
There are many reasons why we may feel disconnected from the Goddess and our spiritual practice.
Sometimes life becomes busy and demanding. Work, family responsibilities, and everyday pressures can leave little room for quiet reflection.
At other times, we may be moving through a period of healing, grief, uncertainty, or personal growth. During these times, we can become focused on simply getting through each day.
We may also place pressure on ourselves to have profound spiritual experiences. When those experiences do not happen, we begin to question our connection.
Yet spiritual connection is not always dramatic. More often, it is found in simple moments of presence, awareness, and remembrance.
Return to Nature
One of the easiest ways to reconnect with the Goddess is through nature.
The Earth reminds us that we are part of something greater than ourselves. Every tree, flower, stream, and changing season reflects the cycles of life, growth, rest, and renewal.
Spend some time outside. Sit beneath a tree, walk in a local park, listen to birdsong, or simply feel the sun on your skin.
Allow yourself to become present with the world around you.
Many people find that when they connect with nature, they naturally begin to feel the presence of the Goddess and the nurturing energy of the Earth once more.

Create a Sacred Space
Creating a sacred space can help signal to your mind and spirit that you are making time for connection.
Your sacred space does not need to be elaborate. A small shelf, table, or corner of a room is enough.
You might include:
- A candle
- A crystal
- Fresh flowers
- A seasonal item from nature
- An image or symbol of the Goddess
It does not need to be perfect, it is your intention that matters most.
Spending just a few minutes each day in your sacred space can help strengthen your connection.
Begin a Simple Daily Practice
When we feel disconnected, we can sometimes think we need an elaborate ritual to reconnect. In reality, the most effective approach is often the simplest. Making it simple and easy will help us continue and be more consistent.
Choose one small practice and commit to it daily.
Examples include:
- Lighting a candle each morning
- Spending five minutes in meditation
- Writing in a journal
- Offering gratitude to the Goddess
- Pulling an oracle card
A small daily practice helps rebuild connection one step at a time.

Listen Rather Than Search
When we feel disconnected, we often begin searching for signs, messages, or confirmation that the Goddess is still with us. Sometimes we receive a sign but begin questioning whether it was real. We keep searching for more confirmation and, in doing so, create stress and doubt that can make us feel even more disconnected.
Sometimes what we need most is to become still and listen.
Sit quietly for a few moments.
Place your attention on your breath.
Ask the Goddess:
“What would you like me to know today?”
Then simply listen without expectation.
The answer may come as a feeling, an image, a thought, a sense of peace, or perhaps not until later in the day.
Trust the process and the more you do this, the more you will develop and sense, feel and see the signs.
Remember That Spiritual Connection Is Cyclical
Nature teaches us that every season has its purpose.
There are times of growth and blooming, and there are times of rest and reflection.
The same is true for our spiritual lives.
Periods of disconnection are not necessarily setbacks. They can be invitations to deepen our relationship with ourselves and the divine in new ways.
Rather than judging yourself for feeling disconnected, approach yourself with compassion.
The Goddess does not demand perfection.
She simply invites us to return.

Returning to the Goddess
If you have been feeling spiritually disconnected, know that your connection to the Goddess has not disappeared.
Like a path that has become overgrown, it may simply need to be walked again.
Begin with one small step.
Spend time in nature. Light a candle. Write in your journal. Sit quietly and listen.
The Goddess is not waiting for you to become more spiritual, more knowledgeable, or more perfect.
She is already present.
And whenever you are ready, you can return to that connection.
